About Leslie
Leslie Satterfield is a filmmaker and cinematographer with a diverse background in cinematography and filmmaking, having studied in London, San Francisco, and Amsterdam. She earned her BFA in Fine Art Photography and Film from The Savannah College of Art & Design. Her debut film was an official selection at the Sundance Film Festival, and since then, she has directed numerous short films that have been featured at festivals both nationally and internationally. In addition to her narrative work, Leslie has contributed to a variety of music videos and documentary projects.
While residing in New York, Leslie led the film department at Ford Models, where she developed lifestyle film content and collaborated on projects for prestigious publications such as Art In America and Interview Magazine.
In 2016, she partnered with Ayana Young, founder of For The Wild, to co-direct the documentary When Old Growth Ends, which explores the devastation of the Tongass National Forest. This impactful film premiered at SXSW in 2018.
In 2010, Leslie founded Kiss The Bride Films in New York City, a wedding cinematography company that has produced films for over 1,000 weddings worldwide. Her passion for storytelling and cinematography led her to hand-train a dedicated team of cinematographers at Kiss The Bride Films East Coast, while she continues to personally shoot on the West Coast.
